Turmeric farmers staged a citywide protest by putting up hoardings demanding the establishment of a long-promised Turmeric Board that would be committed to safeguarding interests of turmeric growers. Displaying banners across major areas, the farmers used the hoardings to publicly renew their demand for government accountability and better institutional support.
