Farmers sent a parcel of onions by post to the Indian Prime Minister in protest of plummeting prices, which had dropped to just ₹200–400 per 100 kg. They demanded lifting the export ban, compensation of ₹1,000 per quintal, and a fair price that covers rising input costs. The protest was part of a larger agrarian unrest across the state over recurring instability in onion markets and government procurement.
