Members of the Indian Youth Congress staged a creative protest against rising food inflation by locking up green chillies inside cashboxes and wearing garlands made of tomatoes and chillies. The unusual demonstration took place outside the party headquarters, where protesters said that everyday vegetables had turned into luxury items due to soaring prices and that essential kitchen ingredients had become as precious as money itself.
