Dump cauliflower
|
February 2021
A farmer dumped around ten quintals of cauliflower on the road after traders at the local market offered him just Re 1 per kilogram for his produce. He said he had spent thousands on seeds, fertiliser, and transport, and that selling at such a low price would cause heavy losses. Other farmers in the region voiced similar frustration over the sharp fall in vegetable prices and the absence of government intervention.
