Activists from the Wild Strawberry Student Movement in Taiwan held a sit-in protest at Taipei’s Liberty Square and staged a short skit to criticise what they called excessive police force and unequal rights to demonstration. They demanded that the government investigate and justify police actions during a prior security operation—specifically questioning laws that allowed one national flag to be displayed but banned another—and called for amendment of Taiwan’s Assembly and Parade Law.
