In a woman-led creative protest during Myanmar’s 2021 anti-coup uprising, participants wore red roses in their hair and walked in public as part of the #FlowerStrike and #RedLipsSpeakTruthToPower campaigns. This flower-based gesture asserted women’s presence and leadership within nationwide demonstrations challenging military rule. This action can nbe seen within a broader landscape of street protests, online mobilizations, and intensifying state crackdowns.
